The Chocolate Cherry Milk Stout is currently on tap.  Some history on stout follows along with a detailed description of the beer direct from our Brewmaster Wendy. Enjoy!

Milk Stouts date back to the industrial revolution when stouts made with milk sugar (lactose) were introduced.  Workers worked long, hard hours in the grime and soot of London and needed a boost of energy during their lunch hours. This beverage happened to be a concoction of milk and stout porter. An easy-to-consume beverage with plenty of protein and carbohydrates to help fuel the workers through their day.

Our Chocolate Cherry Milk Stout was brewed on a Brunch&Brew Day with Uncorked Tours. A good solid stout packed with all the flavours you’d expect with an extra twist; great malt base, roasted, chocolaty backbone, soft carbonation and a subtle taste of tart cherry in the finish. The addition of lactose makes it creamy and slightly sweet. The hop character is just present enough to enhance the chocolate malt & tart cherry flavours.  6.1% ABV.
